Sheikh Malek Zeiden has dedicated his life to serving the Muslim community through education, leadership, guidance, and community building.

He completed his Islamic studies in 1986 at Dar Al-Fatwa in Beirut, Lebanon, where he developed the knowledge and foundations that would later support decades of service to the Australian Muslim community.

On 16 February 1988, Sheikh Malek arrived in Australia and immediately began contributing to the growth and development of Islam across the country.

In his early years in Australia, Sheikh Malek taught Arabic in various schools and community programs, often volunteering his time to ensure that younger generations remained connected to their language, faith, and heritage. He also conducted home visits to teach Arabic and Islamic studies to families and individuals, demonstrating a deep commitment to community service and education. Alongside his teaching, he regularly delivered khutbahs and religious lessons at the mosque, becoming a trusted source of guidance for the community.

Following the passing of the mosque's Imam in 1996, Sheikh Malek assumed the role of Imam, continuing the legacy of leadership while helping guide the mosque through a period of growth and development. Over the years, he has become widely respected for his knowledge, wisdom, balanced approach, and dedication to serving the community.

In 2010, Sheikh Malek was appointed as the official representative of Dar Al-Fatwa in Lebanon for Australia, strengthening the connection between Australian Muslims and one of the Islamic world's most respected religious institutions.

Among his many contributions, Sheikh Malek was also instrumental in establishing the Majlis Al-Qada in Australia, a community-based initiative dedicated to assisting families and resolving disputes, particularly between spouses. Through mediation, advice, and Islamic guidance, the initiative has helped many families strengthen their relationships and overcome challenges.

Known for his humility, accessibility, and commitment to unity, Sheikh Malek enjoys strong relationships with Imams and Islamic leaders from across Australia. He is widely respected by both scholars and community members alike and continues to be a source of guidance, wisdom, and stability for the Muslim community.

For more than three decades, Sheikh Malek has served with sincerity and dedication, helping generations of Muslims strengthen their faith while fostering a spirit of unity, compassion, and community service.

Sheikh Hassan Zeidan was born in Lebanon and completed his university studies in 1992. He then undertook four years of advanced Islamic studies at Dar Al-Fatwa in Beirut, Lebanon, where he developed a strong foundation in Islamic jurisprudence, theology, and community leadership. 

Following his studies, Sheikh Hassan dedicated himself to teaching the Holy Qur'an, a role he continues to fulfill today. 

Over the decades, he has become one of Sydney's most respected and sought-after Qur'an teachers, contributing significantly to Islamic education in Australia by educating and inspiring generations of Muslims through his knowledge, patience, and commitment. 

In March 1993, Sheikh Hassan migrated to Australia, where he continued his lifelong service to the Muslim community. Alongside his brother, Sheikh Malek Zeidan, he served as a member of Majlis Al-Qada, where they collaborated with the Greenacre Grand Mosque team to provide religious guidance, address community affairs, and resolve issues affecting the Muslim community. 

Sheikh Hassan is widely respected across all segments of the community for his integrity, wisdom, and balanced approach to Islam. 

He is particularly admired by young people, who value his ability to address contemporary challenges with understanding, compassion, and authentic Islamic guidance. 

Known for promoting unity, moderation, and mutual respect, Sheikh Hassan has consistently stood for justice and fairness. He does not hesitate to speak out against injustice and remains firmly opposed to all forms of division and discord within the community. 

His principled leadership, sincerity, and dedication have earned him the trust and affection of countless individuals throughout Sydney and beyond. 

Through decades of teaching, leadership, and community service, Sheikh Hassan Zeidan has become a highly regarded scholar, educator, and community figure whose contributions continue to positively impact the lives of many Muslims across Australia.

Abdullah is one of the quiet pioneers of the Australian Muslim community whose contributions have helped shape the landscape of Islam in Sydney for more than four decades. 

Arriving in Australia on 1 September 1982, Abdullah was among the few members of the growing Muslim community who could read, write, and communicate in English. 

At a time when many new migrants faced significant challenges navigating Australian society, he became an invaluable bridge between communities, institutions, and government bodies. 

His service to the Muslim community spans generations. Abdullah played a vital role in the early development of Islam in both Sydney and Melbourne, with much of his work focused in Sydney. 

As a dedicated member and former Secretary of the Lebanese Muslim Association (LMA), he witnessed firsthand the growth of Lakemba Mosque from its humble beginnings as two residential homes into one of Australia's most recognised Islamic landmarks. 

He was instrumental in fundraising efforts and played a key role in the construction of the mosque's iconic minaret. 

Beyond Lakemba Mosque, Abdullah was involved in helping secure the land that would later become Malek Fahd Islamic School, contributing to the establishment of one of Australia's most significant Islamic educational institutions. 

His commitment to serving the community continued through his support of Sheikh Khaled in acquiring the land upon which the Greenacre Grand Mosque team now operates. 

Throughout the years, Abdullah has remained a humble and respected figure, preferring to work quietly behind the scenes rather than seek recognition. 

He has consistently championed unity among Muslim community leaders, ensuring that the mosque remains a welcoming place for all Muslims, free from division and political influence. 

Today, Abdullah continues to play an important role in the development of this mosque and Islamic centre. 

Having witnessed the remarkable growth of Islam in Australia over the past four decades, his hope remains simple yet profound: that future generations of Muslims will thrive in Australia while remaining firmly connected to their Islamic identity, values, and faith. His dedication, sacrifice, and lifelong service have touched countless lives, and his contributions stand as a lasting legacy for generations to come.
